About the Cabin
The Cabin is a sanctuary atop East Haven Mountain in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. This beautiful location offers visitors to experience some of the best of God’s creation.
The Cabin and its adjacent property are maintained by East Haven Mountain, Inc. (EHMI), a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The Cabin is available for rent by special requst to small groups of up to six people. We invite Church pastors to use The Cabin at no cost for spiritual reflection and renewal. Cost of Stay
$50.00 per night per person.
Some financial assistance is available because our hope is that all can stay regardless of financial resources.
Cabin Location
The Cabin is located on top of East Haven Mountain in East Haven, VT and the trail head is accessed via the Victory Road. Incredible views of the White Mountains await you! Detailed instructions & directions will be emailed to you when you make your reservation. It is a self-guided trip where you assume your own personal liability. Guided trips are happily available upon request.
Cabin Accommodations
Size: The cabin is 12 ft x 16 ft with two floors. The second floor is accessed by an inside ladder.
Beds: There are six beds (first floor bunk bed and 4 single beds on second floor).
Utilities: We have solar powered electric lights and a wood stove for heat.
Water: Rain water is collected and piped to a sink during summer months, and stream water & melted snow is used during the freezing months
Cooking: A propane grill is located on the deck outside for grilling and a propane stove top & oven inside.
Trail Access
The cabin is accessed by foot travel only. The trail is approximately 2 miles long and gains 1600 feet in elevation. Travel time is 1 to 3 hours depending on your level of endurance. A summer trail and winter trail exists, and is marked well with ribbons and reflectors.
